Also what is the best Electric and Folding (that you can collapse and take with you inside a building or anywhere else) bicycle -around or below $1000-? Thanks knowledgeable youtubers!

I’m new to all this. Would someone please tell me what model and brand is the first black bicycle featured here (the one in the park)? Real and associated costs? Im in CA. Thanks!

Great comment. What he says spells it out exactly. X-Treme’s lowest price e-bike which requires no license is the XB-562 & sells for about $550. The XB-502 is in a completely different class, although still an e-bike, it’s got 4 batteries and a rear hub motor unlike the cheaper built 562. We suggest the 502 model or larger for those interested in a real electric e-bik

    Do you need a license?
Motorcycle – yes because of the speed and power of the motor
Electric bike – no. if it has functional pedals, max rated 20 mph, and less than 1000 watts. Many localities allow bikes on sidewalk. Check with DMV of your state.
Cost: X treme, Liberty, and a few others sell less than $850 for the electric bike. Amazon has one $350 free s/h. Motorcycles: Zero, Vectrix, Liberty and a few others at cost of $11,000 or less. Ev-Village sells one for $6175 free s/h.

This is the way to go for your short commutes, school, etc. I ride mine to the office which is close – I am the envy up there. They call? me Mr. Green. Got it at xtremescooters4u and they shipped it right away. About the price of a decent bike, so its a no brainer.

I’m going to get one of these. Cheers to the future!

  • partcentpc says:

Yes you will need a license to drive this motorcycle in most all states.

Wayne Morin Jr TV Show Host Wayne’s World Cinema great bikes.

  • partcentpc says:

In your case you would simply register this bike as a motorcycle at your local DMV. In some states electric is totally exempt, in other states like yours they may require it be a motorcycle, it’s the same in Iowa where the warehouse is located, i think if it’s over 25 or 30 MPH it has to be registered as a motorcycle, that’s all.

  • HydroSonic88 says:

In my state (south carolina) IIRC what defines a moped is speed. A moped doesn’t require a license or anything else to operate it on roads but i can’t exceed 25 mph or something like that.

  • zenveg says:

Wrong, Token. That’s a hybrid moped, the 5000li is 100% electric.

  • partcentpc says:

Some states like Nevada do not require any licence plate, registration, insurance on mopeds under 50cc or electric powered mopeds, however other states like California and others will require you to register this as a moped at your local DMV and that is where you can find out if you need a drivers license or a motor cycle license or no license at all to operate this bike.

  • d3tach3d says:

Is it legal to ride with having to go to dmv and registering.

Does anyone know what the hybrid moped shown at the end is called?
