Question: new or used car would be greener?
my old car died in the line of duty ” i am fine sore but fine”
now i am looking for a green car “good gas mpg” for under 10k so a toyota prius is out due to the money.. was looking at nissan versa 1.6s as a replacement but that would mean a auto loan as i look have 4k-5k so would it be better to buy a used car for 5k or a new car for around 10k or a little more
if new or used please say make and model

No greener means More gas mileage and better emissions you need 30mpg or more to see good gas mileage.

I am in the market for a used car, 5-10 years old, but would like to consider environmental impact in my purchase. Is there anywhere I can find a “top green used cars.” or maybe green ratings lists done in years past?

green ratings are useless since catalytic converters stop working after 45k miles….
u can do things to keep ur personal car running greener but generally “green rating” is just a sales gimmick and blatant propaganda….
more fuel is wasted each year by under inflated tires than would b saved if everyone started driving hybrids…..which btw we have yet to see actual environmental impact of since we have yet to see them in massive amounts and the impact that battery replacement will have…

I don’t actually know the answer but here is an educated guess. d, because aluminum is recyclable
